# Support

How to get help with CLIP and CBE, and how to contact us if you are considering CLIP.

CLIP supports your high-performance and scientific computing on CBE. Choose the
route that matches your situation.

## For account holders

Open a ticket in the HPC Servicedesk for problems, questions, and requests. To
help the team respond quickly, include the job ID, the time of the problem, and
the exact error message.

- **Troubleshooting:** check common access, job, software, and storage
  problems on the
  [CBE troubleshooting and support page](https://docs.vbc.ac.at/research-computing/cbe/troubleshooting-and-support/)
  before you open a ticket.
- **Training:** the [VBCF HPC training track](https://training.vbcf.ac.at/training/hpc.php)
  covers cluster fundamentals and container technologies. See
  [Trainings](/trainings/) for all courses.
- **Maintenance and service changes:** we announce maintenance and service
  changes by email and in the scientific computing chat. If you have a
  question about them, ask through the HPC Servicedesk.

## For prospective users

Email [contact@clip.science](mailto:contact@clip.science) with:

- Your institutional affiliation and your research group or lab.
- A short description of your use case.
- A rough idea of the computing resources you expect to need, for example
  whether your work needs GPUs.
